Carly Topazio

From Millis, MA Topazio was trained at Boston Ballet under the direction of Mikko Nissenen, and Margaret Tracey, and later at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet where she studied for three years. In 2011 Miss Topazio joined the Alabama Ballet under Artistic Director Tracey Alvey, where she performed featured roles in ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Twyla Tharp’s Bakers Dozen, and Paquita, as well as George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Serenade, Walpurgisnacht Ballet, Allegro Brillante, Raymonda Variations, and the original premiere of A Night In The Tropics by Brian Enos, and William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated. Topazio has trained and performed internationally including a residency under Iratxe Ansa in Mexico City, and in IB Stage in Spain. Topazio can also be seen performing as a ballet dancer in the Disney movie The Game Plan. In 2013 Topazio guested with Ballet Inc, Eglevsky Ballet, and Ballet Neo in New York City. Topazio joined City Ballet of San Diego in 2014 and was promoted to company member in 2015. While at City Ballet, Carly has performed soloist and lead roles in The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Carmen, fourPAIR, Carmina Burana, Mozart’s Requiem, Tchai Celebration, and Mozart’s Concerto. George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments, Walpurgisnacht Ballet, Square Dance, La Source, and Serenade as well as the company’s premiere of Peter Martins’ Hallelujah Junction.

Carly Topazio performed as an artist with The Rosin Box Project in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
