Ghost Light Masquerade: San Diego’s Immersive Halloween Ballet (2025)

Updated: Oct 8

Ghost Light Masquerade by The Rosin Box Project at The Soap Factory—contemporary ballet dancers performing in immersive, moody lighting in San Diego.

Enter the Nocturne Theatre—If You Dare

Long after the audience leaves, one light stays lit. They call it the ghost light—a small lamp that keeps watch over every stage. At Ghost Light Masquerade, that light does more than guard the dark; it remembers. For seven nights only, October 23–30, 2025, The Rosin Box Project (TRBP) invites you into the living legend of our fictional Nocturne Theatre, brought to life at The Soap Factory in San Diego. Expect cinematic choreography, masked encounters, and a dreamlike world where superstition, mystery, and revelry blur.

What Is Ghost Light Masquerade?

Ghost Light Masquerade is TRBP’s annual immersive Halloween ballet—an evening-length performance that unfolds around you. You won’t just watch from a seat; you’ll wander through scenes, cross paths with masked characters, and discover vignettes that draw on theatre lore: the ghost light, the saved seat for unseen guests, the rituals performers whisper before a show.

  • Format: Immersive, promenade-style contemporary ballet

  • World: The Nocturne Theatre (story world)

  • Venue: The Soap Factory, San Diego (real, physical location)

  • Mood: Elegant, eerie, and transportive—not horror, but hauntingly beautiful
