In this new work for The Rosin Box Project, I continue exploring my curiosity with the (coat series) I am working on this season in multiple projects. I found myself inspired by Picasso’s “Blue Paintings”. The idea of taking one concept and exploring it multiple times in different ways. This can be color choice, music selection, physical use of the fabric itself. For me the coats are an inanimate object that can also act as metaphor at times, such as a façade, or a social shield. The work itself is abstract with certain creative goals of my own, but also very open to inviting the viewers own interpretation of the piece, not only just to think, but to feel, and experience.
