Ali Marshall
She/Her
Ali Marshall is a professional dancer based in San Diego and a company member with The Rosin Box Project, currently in her first season with the company. She received her foundational training with Alabama Ballet, where she performed in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, and continued her pre-professional development through extensive classical and contemporary study. Ali went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Texas Christian University, along with a Pilates Teacher Training Certificate.
During her time at TCU, Ali performed works by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Francesca Harper, Rubén Gerding, Adam W. McKinney, and Joy Bollinger, featuring in numerous soloist roles and developing a strong versatility across ballet and contemporary concert dance. Her training also includes summer intensives with American Ballet Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet, and Alabama Ballet.
Prior to joining The Rosin Box Project, Ali danced with Bruce Wood Dance in Dallas, TX, where she performed an expansive contemporary repertoire by choreographers including Jiří Kylián, Lar Lubovitch, Twyla Tharp, Bruce Wood, Norbert De La Cruz III, Ben Needham-Wood, and Joy Bollinger. Her work with the company reflected a deep engagement with musicality, theatricality, and physically demanding movement vocabularies.
In addition to her performance career, Ali is a certified Classical Pilates instructor teaching at Ascend Pilates and Equinox. She is passionate about movement practices that support longevity, curiosity, and sustainability within the professional dance field.
