Sona Jaeger
originally from Tokyo, Japan, began her ballet training at Hikarigaoka Dance Academy and The Tokyo Ballet School. Her international journey continued at Académie Princesse Grace in Monaco under Marika Besobrasove and Roland Vogel, followed by graduation from Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in 2010.Professionally, Sona has performed with Royal Winnipeg Ballet, City Ballet of San Diego, Columbia Classical Ballet, California Ballet, and most recently, Golden State Ballet. Her repertoire includes notable roles such as Pas de Trois in "Agon," The Man I Love, and Embraceable You in "Who Cares?," Walking Pas De Deux in "Emeralds," Demi Solo Girl in "Walpurgisnacht," Kitri’s friends in "Don Quixote," and performances as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Dew Drop, and Snow Queen in "The Nutcracker." She has also danced in "Valse Fantaisie" and Justin Peck’s "In Creases." Sona has had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers such as Gabrielle Lamb in "HEMIDEMISEMIQUAVER" and Andrea Schermoly in "Stand to Reason” and "The Gatekeepers.” She is also grateful to have been a part of Ballet Collective San Diego for four summers now.
Sona is extremely happy to be joining The Rosin Box Project in 2024, where she aims to further develop her artistry and contribute to creating unforgettable performances.
