TRBP at WOW Festival
We are beyond excited to be a part of La Jolla Playhouse's 2022 Without Walls Festival hosted at Liberty Station! TRBP will be presenting a new choreographic collaboration between Carly Topazio, Jeremy Zapanta, with immersive projection and lighting design by Nathan Scheuer.
This is [our] dream. SOMNIUM explores alternative dream state 'realities' and the interplay of identity, phenomenon, and surreal environment through a series of vignettes. Uniquely fantastical, yet distinctly familiar, SOMNIUM begs the question: Are we simply subjected to the world we find ourselves in, or can we become the driving force, taking control?
An innovative new ballet that fuses imagination with technology, coupling originally choreographed dance with projection mapping design and music to create a fully-immersive, multi-sensory experience.
The original choreography is crafted to directly exemplify and blend with the motion graphic design of the projection mapping, resulting in a performance that suspends reality; creating a 3D environment in which body and environment ultimately become one.
Our most exciting alternative performance is back! With two options to experience: streaming 360-degrees virtually from the comfort of your own home, and a live and immersive IN-PERSON performance!
Step Inside this traveling performance and experience dance unlike any other.
Come early or stay late to enjoy our hosted bar!
A weekend packed full of World Premieres, renowned choreographers, and unparalleled dancing, all under the stars!
DEBUTS captures a collection of four distinct choreographic styles that are each uniquely different but find connection in their uninhibited approach. The program presents two World Premieres by the brilliant Resident Artists of The Rosin Box Project, Katie Spagnolletti and Jeremy Zapanta. as well as a World Premiere by Guest Choreographer, Myles Thatcher, Soloist with San Francisco Ballet, and a TRBP premiere and restaging of Dance Magazine's 25 To Watch, and TRBP's Guest Choreographer, Katarzyna Skarpetowska's electric SEXTETTE.
DEBUTS will be presented under the stars on an indoor/outdoor theater at The Mingei International Museum's Atalaya Foundation Theater in Balboa Park, as well as virtually LIVE STREAMED!
